Religion in the Public Sphere
International Master's degree
From the 2021/2022 winter semester onwards, the Institute for the Study of Religion will lead the English-taught Master’s programme “Religion in the Public Sphere” in cooperation with Södertörn University in Stockholm, Roma Tre University in Rome and the Institute of Sociology at Leibniz University Hannover.
Over the course of four semesters (120 ECTS credits), interested students will explore the discursive negotiation of religion in the public sphere (i.e. in politics, law and education). They will be awarded a Master of Arts degree and will have the opportunity to obtain a double degree from one of the partner universities.
